So those of us who blog all have ways to track who hits our site and from where. There is always a sense of pride when a new site provides a link, so thanks to Flahute Steve in Utah. For those in the know I have a special spot in my heart for Utah (and cycling), my wife was raised in Sandy and is the older sister to one of the most famous retired racers ever from Utah (first person besides Sly Fox who knows the racer will get a prize next time I hit Utah).
I'm embarking on a strange trip this year as I am running a team for the first time. But unlike many others I'm not limiting myself to just getting money for a few racers; I'm working to let people know about their environmental impact (yea you can call it global warming if you want) and how riding the bike can reduce that impact.
I don't want to change your politics, just provide a little background and start some thoughts on changing each of our lifestyles (and yes I'm trying to change mine every day).
Kick back and enjoy the site. Thanks for stopping by and thanks to Flahute for the link.

Famous and retired? Must be Marty Jemison.
A hint or two, never associated with a doping scandel and domestic racing.
Louder is still racing, and was Euro for awhile.
Burke is still racing.
Turbo is still racing, although not as a pro anymore.
Jemison was caught up in the USPS/Armstrong scandal.
Are we talking road or mountain here?
mtn is the sport and sly fox frequently mentions a body part.
Glen Adams?
eric jones, you cant block me from the game? unfair!
i dont flahute knows him, steve wasnt in town when he used to beat bart every weekend, and sager.
I didn't know that Climb-um was a pro ... thought he, like Sly and Bart were "semi-pro" ... and what's the body part involved?
Sly ... I've been in the 801 for 6 years now ... went to several ICUPs in 2005 to support the Cutthroat team by "guarding" the beer, and I seem to remember Eric standing atop the podium more than Bart, when they were both wearing the Biogen purple.
Come on Cris it's my game I can exclude you...Next time i'm in SLC I'll give a prize to both of you (june or july). Eric had a few years there where he was getting paid, not to mention representing at the world championships in 92 (or 93) and 96 and a partial Euro world cup season in 2001 (where he made the velonews what's hot list)
6 years, so 2002. if you did watch the races back then, not saying you didnt or trying to start when you did, but even before that, 1991 to 2001 ej was pretty good, mostly unfeatable from 98 to 04, in utah. he did good in 05 and 06 but not to the extent of 98 to 03. top 15's at norbas, a few top 10's at high mtn norbas and almost every utah mtn bike race from june to august.
climb-um the legend. RIP 2007.
a big ass pair of calves, rest in peace.
a list of top results I remember - 98 norba national deer valley 6th or 7th (racing with a guy named Lance), 3rd in Mt Warner stage of the old Mercury tour (2000), 1st Iron Horse Classic 2004 (beating T Brown, Ned etc), 4th US National Championships in 03 or 04.
But if I remember correctly the longest win streak in Utah history goes to Sly Fox in 96...maybe eric is the 2nd best mountain biker from utah
I didn't pay much attention to ICUP, etc. until 2005, when I hooked up with the Cutthroat team ... I'm a skinny tire guy, remember?
Just a weird one that joins a MTB team, because the beer seemed more important than the racing ...
